They say chalk and cheese, night and day, Mel is the nurturer, the GATHER, and Yaz is the motivator the GROW.
We are so different, but we are also the same. We are both earth signs, we are grounded, fiercely caring and dangerously honest!
Rooted in our shared love of photography and motherhood, raising 7 children (combined not each). We became mothers at just 18 and 21, our business became our lifeline that enabled us to grow our families, an outlet to nurture our creativity, something just for us. Photography is who we are, it’s not a hobby, it isn’t a second income - it is the ONLY income.
We are strong women who found success in survival and together we created a sanctuary where we can support you as photographers, but more importantly as women, and as mothers. We are photographers but we are also family.

2021- The idea for Gather to Grow was born in a hot tub, with friends over a glass of Prosecco (like most brilliant ideas) We really felt like this industry needed one big place that we could all be together, learn and make friends.
2022 - We held our very first in person event. 55 of you put your faith in us and showed up! It was such a beautiful, intimate event and we now have a buzzing Facebook community.
2024- The demand for a new event had grown, so we decided to go bigger! Over 120 of you joined us this time in Bristol for our second in person business event. We had a shopping event and a party, it was incredible.
2025- We launch our very own online shop and also our third in person event! We can't wait to see you all there.
In an industry dominated by men, we wanted a safe space for women and those who identify as female to make friends, learn and talk about their business.
We are here to help you build a business that fits your life, without the pressure to conform. You don’t need to follow someone else’s path; we’ll help you find your own voice and grow in your own way.
